I just visited the Sales Gallery for 252 East 57th Street to check on the building’s progress and get sense of how the sales are going. Being in one of the world’s most desirable residential neighborhoods this condo tower’s architecture with striking Italian glass façade and curved silhouette is a magnificent addition to Billionaire Row. This elegant and distinctive design is by one of my favorite architects, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill who also design the Time-Warner Center.

With all the super uber high end residences along Billionaire Row it must be great for business at the local neighborhood retail stores; Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenues, Van Cleef & Arpels, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, Burberry, Chanel, Bulgari, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., and Cartier, these being just the names that come to mind, but lots more.

The restaurants located near 252 East 57th such as; JoJo, Hill Stone, where I have often enjoyed the great food with jazz music, a Greek restaurant called Nerai, Crave Fishbar, a Japanese restaurant Jukai, legendary French restaurant Daniel (the ultimate romantic dining experience), and Italian restaurant Scalinatella will have new customers when the building’s occupants move in. I intend to make regular updates on this property. When completed, 252 E 57th could be one of my favorite buildings in the city and I can’t wait to visit the actual units expected to be completed this year.
