I recently visited the completed 50 UN Plaza penthouse overlooking Manhattan’s East River where stands as a true testament to gracious opulence.

The two-story 9,704 square feet duplex home features 4 bedrooms, 2 staff bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, terrace, and an outdoor pool. The was the work of architects Foster+Partners who created a customized modern and timeless” interior design.

The penthouse living room and dining room areas strut floor-to-ceiling windows spanning the entire eastern façade. The first-floor also hosts a fully appointed kitchen, 525 square foot terrace, gallery, 2 secondary bedrooms, and 2 staff bedrooms. The curved staircase lands on the second floor where the impressive master suite is encased by wrapping walls of glass while occupying an entire wing of the condominium. The master bedroom also features a master lounge equipped with a wet bar, and a master bathroom with views of the UN Secretariat building and the East River. The other wing has another secondary bedroom and an entertainment room with a fireplace and kitchen.

In between the upper level lies a 325 square foot pool deck with entrances from the entertainment room or master lounge. The private pool sits at the top of the building with views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. The duplex penthouse at 50 UN Plaza is undeniably one of the most outstanding homes in New York City and is currently available for $70 million.
